Welcome to the School of Nursing at Penang International Dental College (PIDC).

The School of Nursing at Penang International Dental College (PIDC) is dedicated to shaping caring, competent, and professional nurses for the future. Our nursing education focuses on building strong clinical skills, professional values, and confidence to succeed in today’s healthcare environment.

Our goal is simple — to prepare students to become safe, skilled, and compassionate nurses through quality teaching, hands‑on clinical training, and strong professional guidance. Students are supported by experienced nurse educators and exposed to real‑world healthcare settings to ensure readiness for practice.

Program Outline

The Diploma in Nursing programme is aimed to prepare students with knowledge, skills, and hands‑on experience required to deliver safe and high‑quality patient care. The School of Nursing is pleased to offer the Diploma in Nursing, with the next intake in May 2026.

• 🕒 3‑year programme
• 🎓 94 credit hours
• 🏥 Extensive clinical practice training
• 📚 Covers medical‑surgical, paediatric, obstetric, mental health, community and emergency nursing
• 💼 Graduates are prepared for employment as registered nurses after 3 years of study

Entry Requirements

• Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with THREE (3) credits, including:
  • Malay Language
  • Mathematics (Elementary / Modern / Additional)
  • Science (Biology / Chemistry / Physics / Applied Science / Additional Science)

AND

• Pass in TWO (2) other subjects, including English Language
