Welcome to the Centre for Pre-University. At the Centre for Pre-University, we assert that a strong foundation is the initial step toward fulfilling your academic and professional ambitions. Your pursuit of becoming a doctor, dentist, chemist, engineer, or entrepreneur begins here. Our programs are meticulously crafted to prepare students for undergraduate studies by providing vital academic information, practical skills, and the appropriate mindset for success in higher education. We emphasise the cultivation of critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills essential in today’s competitive and dynamic environment. Our committed lecturers offer direction through interactive, student-centred educational experiences. Our curriculum, aligned with international requirements and supplemented by industry relevant exposure, equips students with the confidence and preparedness necessary for their academic advancement. The Centre for Pre-University provides a connection to several undergraduate programmes available through PIDC, MAHSA University, and partner institutions. Pre University Programmes
Penang International Dental College (PIDC), established in 2006, has been one of the pioneers in private dental education, having trained over 937 dental surgeons. PIDC, a prestigious dental institution, offers a unique Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) programme that provides students with an ideal balance of theoretical knowledge and extensive clinical practice. The DDS programme is structured to deliver a comprehensive education, with the first two years focused on pre-clinical studies at MAHSA University’s Saujana Putra Campus, followed by three years of intensive clinical training at the PIDC Campus in Butterworth, Penang. This arrangement enables students to achieve both academic excellence and practical experience in a real-world dental setting. At PIDC, we take pride in being a comprehensive dental institution equipped with a state-of-the-art dental centre. Currently, PIDC is expanding and besides Dentistry, PIDC is also offering Foundation in Science (FIS) and Foundation in Arts (FIA) programme. The two programmes are a 1-Year programme which are offered at our PIDC Butterworth Campus in Penang, focused to deliver a holistic education, comprising of both theoretical and practical. Upon completion, students may progress to any relevant degree programmes at our associate member university, MAHSA University or Penang International Dental College for our DDS programme.
