Penang International Dental College (PIDC) signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the School of Dentistry Chonnam National University, South Korea (CNU) for collaboration and exchange in areas such as students, staff, research among other common areas of interest.
Dean PIDC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajay Telang said the MoA was part of efforts by PIDC to expand collaboration and provide enriched learning opportunities for its students and staff. This collaboration with a Korean National University is also in line with the national policy of look East.
The MoA was signed between the Dean of CNU, Prof. Byung Gook Kim and PIDC Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajay Telang.
The ceremony was witnessed from PIDC by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Datin Dr. Naziah Ahmad Azli and Chief of Administrative(CAO) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamaraj Loganathan. While from CNU it was witnessed by Director of Chonnam National Dental Hospital, Prof. Hong Ju Park and Prof. Ok Joon Kim, Head of Department of Oral Pathology.
Meanwhile, Datin Dr. Naziah said, the agreement was to establish strategic partnership between PIDC and School of Dentistry, CNU.
Later in the day, the three delegates from Korea delivered guest lectures to our students, alumni and staff, highlight of which was the talk on post graduate opportunities in Korea given by Prof. Byung Gook Kim.
